About Persona Works Cosplay
Persona Works is a cosplay duo and design team, consisting of Beatrix Mouser and Medusa Foxtrot We have both been cosplaying since 2008 and we work together on almost everything: Beatrix Mouser specializes in design, fabrications and garmet construction, while Medusa Foxtrot specializes in wigs, shoes and props.
We not only make costumes for ourselves but we also do cosplay commissions, theatre work, and sometimes cosplay/design competitions.
While Persona Works is primarily a duo, we do also work with other cosplayers
and naturally force our non-cosplaying friends into garmets for our own
enjoyment.
Together we have won five cosplay competition awards:
Best Group at Anime Blast Chattanooga 2012 - Grell, Madam Red, and Mary Kelley
Best Original Design at Anime Blast Chattanooga 2012 (Soleluna) - Mary Kelley
Best Novice at Middle Tennessee Anime Convention 2013 (Interstella) - Misstitched Alice
Best Group at Anime Blast Chattanooga 2013 - Sanderson Sisters
Best Duo at Momocon 2015 - Jack and Sally
Tech and Design Award from University of Tennesee at Chattanooga 2015 (Interstella)

Hello! I am 24 years old, and have recently receiv my BA in Art and BA in Theatre with plans to attend grad school for Costume Design. I have been sewing since I was very young and have always had a great desire to simply make things. In addition to my cosplay work, I have done a fair amount of work in theatrical production design, including costume design for Sweeney Todd at UTC, make up design for Theatre for the New South's production of Monster, as well as an internship in Italy with La Musica Lirica on multiple opera productions.
I specialize in design and construction. I tend to design most of our original outfits, with quality input from my partner, of course. I am also the one that translates drawings into workable, and proportionate patterns for actual humans (or aliens), before construction begins. I work fairly well in costume crafts, such as shoes, head pieces, etc., and I can do basic styling and cutting on wigs, but that is about the extent of my abilities in hair and all that is much better left to my counterpart.
OH HAI.
I'm Medusa Foxtrot! I'm a wig making, prop painting, general ball of faun.
I've been working with Interstella since we were kids, painting tea cups on my bathroom floor and hot gluing wefts in wigs.
When we started movng into more complicated costumes, I became almost useless on the construction end. I still wanted to contribute, however, so I found my true calling: plastic hair. Well, that and prop making. I find that I work best when the sewing machine and I aren't involved.
When I'm not covered in brown paint, weft hair, and fur, I'm in nursing school, weeping uncontrolably as I take notes.
Darjeeling is our close friend and former roommate.
We actually met Darj at a convention (two versions of Madame Red before the one pictured), and a year later she moved in with us. We have done a number of group cosplays with Darj, and even constructed a couple solo costumes for her.
While Darjeeling's specialties are not quite on the same level as ours, Darjeeling helps out a lot with what we lovingly refer to as bitch work.
Someone is always needed to pull gather stitchs and stitch in hems. She also used to keep both of us awake and fed so no homocides occurred.
Mostly our own cats: Riku and Sora (pictured left).
But we could totally get behind other people's cats.
Dogs too..
....Okay, pretty much all animals are fair game.
